cutting utensils

Here in Korea, we don't believe in paper cutters. You know, the big slicer in the teachers room; the one student's were never supposed to use in fear of bodily harm and in turn lawsuits? Yea that one-it was frequently green. Instead, here in Korea, we use exacto knifes for everything. For instance, how does one attempt to cut 800 sheets of paper in half? clearly with an exacto knife. All of my students carry exacto knifes...sometimes they sharpen their pencils with them. Sometimes, they whip them out and play with them. So in Korea there is not a threat of high school violence when everyone is walking around with a knife. But with that hour lunch break and time to kill, you'd think a knife fight might occur in the courtyard here or there every once and a while. I hope you enjoyed that awful pun. My literary sense goes wild past 12am.
